Dealing with the First Job Jitters
I recently graduated from college and on my first job interview, I was immediately hired by a great company! In this economy, there is no guarantee that a college graduate will get a job and so I am very grateful for this opportunity. I start next week but they want me to come in and get my ID and name lanyard so that I will have it on the first day. The job is in Washington D.C. and the company has stressed that security is extremely important. They want all employees to wear their IDs on their company lanyards at all times. This reminds me of my college orientation, when I had to go and get my picture taken for my school ID. I can’t wait to get started at the office and meet all my co-workers. I hope I do a good job and they feel justified in hiring me right on the spot!
